I've been seeing Dr. Steinhauer for years and years, and now take my children to see him and his son.  His personal approach makes the whole experience enjoyable (except for that puff-in-the-eye test! :) ), and his advice over the years has been sound.I had Lasik eye surgery at another center, and he did all the follow-up care for that surgery, even seeing me off-hours due to a scheduling conflict when my family was going out of town.  He has always taken a pragmatic approach to his care, recommending a new prescription when necessary, but not pushing it when the prescription change was slight.  I would highly recommend him.  My son went to see Dr. Steinhauer's son (also in the business) and we were happy with that experience as well.  It's nice to support a local, family-run business that conducts itself with integrity.
