Dr. Thomas Steinhauer has been providing the Madison area with eye care for over 30 years. He grew up in Madison and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he represented the Badgers as a member of the golf team.
After graduating from Illinois College of Optometry in 1980, Dr. Steinhauer joined one of the oldest practices in the state of Wisconsin. He was the sole practitioner from 1992 until 2013 when his son Andrew joined the practice.
Dr. Thomas Steinhauer's special interests include ocular disease and fitting specialty contact lenses. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, as well as a member of the AOA, WOA and the Madison Area Optometric Association. Outside of patient care, he enjoys golfing and spending time with his family.
